Brief Description:  Dynon up and running!

I have powered up the panel, and I am slowly working through getting everything up and working correctly.

There have been several issues with the audio system. The first thing I found was that my one of my Clarity Aloft headsets squealed loudly when the volume was turned up, while the other set had one side that would only work intermittently. I only have 6 pin lemo connectors in my plane, and the factory provided some adapter harnesses for me. Inspecting these harnesses found that that they were not wire the same, and some wires were broken at the solder joints. A call to Clarity Aloft ended up with headsets being sent in for repair.

Next I checked my Zulu PFX headsets, and found a deep warble sound in them that changed depending on where I was looking. The fix for this turned out to be simply lowering the ear cups for a better fit...

Then I found that the ipod I am using for music emitted a low volume squeal whenever the USB charger was activated. This took a while to figure out, but the answer turned out to be an 8.99 ground loop isolator from Amazon.com.

I have most of the Dynon components up and running now, but there is some updating I need to do. It takes a while to learn how to navigate the Dynon system and get everything configured properly, but it is fun to see it come to life.
