After seeing pictures and reading the story of Mark Pensenstadler's beautiful S-6 start on fire, I decided that having a fire extinguisher was a must have accessory.
I completely plagiarized this setup off of the prototype S-20. I used a piece of .032" aluminum sheet 4" wide and bent 1/2" flanges up on each side. One end of the mount is riveted to the throttle panel support plate, and the other end is riveted to a piece of angle which is in turn fastened to the frame with Adel clamps.
I was happy with the set up, but I do have a minor concern that the release lever might be accidently tripped by my toe as I get in and out of the plane. I will see if it is an issue, and come up with a solution if needed.
Next is getting back to the interior panels to get them covered and final installed.
