Started working the pushrods while I finish up the ailerons. Had to order some tooling to finish those up.
23-03. Fabricated the pushrods from the tube stock. Drilled the pilot holes into the rod end bearings and riveted per plans. Used SEM High build primer on the inside of pushrods.
23-04. Fab'd the belcrank to aileron pushrod. Screwed up the 2nd pushrod holes and had to order a new one. Drilled up the rod end installation and rivetd with a hand squeezer. Primmed inside of tube with high build primer again.
23-05. Did build up of the aileron bellcrank. Burnished the brass bushings to pit inside hole. Saw a lot of other builders grinding bellcrank down more as to install washers. Temporarily installed for now with bolt and nut in wing. Will decide later.
23-06. Built up torque tubes per plans. Burnished brass fittings on belt sander till they fit inside tubes. Primed tubes with high build primer. The self etching primer no work well steel tubes. Fit torque tubes together and rigged, drilled.
23-07. Assembled left and right torque tubes per step 1-4 and installed bolts. Built a block of wood to exactly to 1 1/64.
