It took some doing, but the nose gear is installed. My dad came over yesterday and was absolutely vital in getting the gear drilled and mounted. We also took a break to visit Jon, the other local CX5 builder. His plane is coming along well and looks outstanding.
When I first looked at the plans, I liked the very simple method of attaching the nose gear. Now in retrospect, I recognize the simple attachment makes the construction substantially harder.
