I spent my evenings after work this week getting the side skins cut and installed on the tail cone. I'll be able to install the controls through the top of the tail, so I've skinned the sides first rather than the top of the tail. The plans would leave several upward facing panel seams. and I'm concerned about water infiltration through these points. Instead I'm following best practices, and making sure the skin joins lap facing downwards.
The fusealge is now full length, and takes up almost the whole garage now. It's going to be harder to navigate around it, but it's exciting to see the ircraft start to look like an aircraft.
