Brief Description:  Controls, Cont'd

John E finished welding the first two elevator control rods I made the other day. These run transversely under the pilot's and passenger's knees, and translate the forward back back stick motion into rtation of the starboard control rod ends. I got them painted to protect them, and will be test fitting them alongside the rudder controls.

Speaking of rudder controls... The second picture are the front rudder pedal brackets, under construction. They've been cut to length and drilled out for the rudder pedals and brake cylinders. Next up, they will need to be cut down, ground, and primered.

Lastly is the starboard rudder pedal. On the right is the extension moving the rudder cable attachment point outboard one inch as per plans. Shown, the rudder is just sitting on the rudder pedal reinforcement plate riveted to the botton nose skin.
