I've selected the architecture for my aircraft;s electrical system. I'm going to use a modification of one of the AeroElectric recommended designs. The idea is that the elecrical ignition is on the 'always on' Battery Bus, and the Avionics Bus is eliminated. However, I realized that the only things I had remaining on th Main Bus were switched devices. This means I can delete what AeroElectric refers to as the Endurance Bus and move all essential items to the Main Bus. If I'm running on batteries with no alternator, I can manually switch off the individual items I don't need, rather than having to add a Bus switch, wiring, and another bus.
