Brief Description:  Starboard Wing Stub

This morning started with a video confernce between a number of Thatcher CX-4, CX-5, and CX-7 builders, set up by Ben Carson of Thatcher Aircraft. That was delightful, and looks like it may become a standing Saturday meet up.

Then I got the push-pull rods from the bell cracnks to the ailerons assembled and installed. Next up was cutting, fitting, predrilling, and what not the nose skin for the right wing stub. I was out of primer, so I took a quick run to Aircraft Depot (better than Lowe's Aircraft Improvement) for some elf-etching primer.

They were out of all of the self-etching primer. An attentive viewer may note that the wing stub grey is rather more blue than the fuselage grey. I've been forced to use a different primer for the duration, as the pandemic has left an odd assortment of things not being stocked regularly.

In any event, the wing skins were primed dried, and installed I'm pretty happy to see this. Once the port wing stub is sealed up, I can return to the canopy build. I was leaning over the wing stubs, and started worrying about damaging the ribs while I woked on the canopy. Now I'll have an integrated stepladder!
