So the jam nuts for the push-pull aileron rods arrived, and the control rods are now installed. Given how substantially skinned my knuckles are following their installation through the future home of the wing skins, I'm also going to be installing the longitudinal push-pull rods that extend out through the wing stubs and connect directly to the aileron undersides. Once the wing skins go on, there really isn't a way to interact with that bellcrank.
For future reference, if I have to work on those parts, remove the bolt holding the bell crank to the bell crank brackets on the wing stubs. Drill out the rivets attaching the bell crank brackets and remove. Then remove the bolts holding the push rods to the bell crank. Now any of the parts that need adjustment/repair can be worked on. Reverse the order for reassembly.
