Brief Description:  Starbaord Wing Stub

I machined and epoxy coated the control rods that will run from the read control horns to the aileron bellcranks. Unfortunately, I have run out of 1/4-28 jam nuts, and am ordering some more. Until they come in, the control rods can't be installed.

The lower wing stub skin is installed. Zinc'd the interior, primer coated the exterior, edges rolled. Honestly, the one piece of sheetmetal least likey to ever be seen by anyone, I think it may be my best work so far. Go figure.

I also have the upper skin for the starboard wing stub cut out, and mostly drilled up to 1/8". The last of it will have to wait, as will deburring, edge rolling, sanding, and priming. As that I will be entering the cabin from the right side (why step over the throttle if you don't have to?) I am reinforcing the skin here. Although the plans call for 0.020" 6061-T6, I'm moving up to 0.032" of the same. Obviously, I also have some skin reinforcement previously installed as well. When I got into the prototype, the wing walk was disconcertingly flimsy, and I am not a small man.

Lastly, I also got some more work done on the canopy design.
