Brief Description:  Side Skins, and Welder Sorrows

The good news is that I got the port side tail skin on between F7 and F8. It's flush riveted top and forward, to underlap the next skin pieces. I got it primed and zinc'ed, and hopefully this week will get the access panel door installed in this section of skin.

The bad news is that I went and picked up my control horns and control sticks from the welder. I cut, drilled, and deburred all the parts, and bent the control sticks; I just needed the 4130 pieces welded together, After two months, he got three 2-inch welds done, and only one looks right. The other two I'm going to have inspected by an A&P to se if they are salvagable. The welder I went to seriously called me today to ask me to recut all the parts for him, so he could try again.

So, he's not going to be welding the control horns on my plane. Or the engine mount. Or the elevator horns. Or, you know, anything.
