Brief Description:  Upper Aeroshell

I've built the F7 upper bulkhead, which starts at the upper longerons at the passenger's back and runs upwards to the top of the canopy. Per my change to a 'fastback' sliding canopy design, this bulkhead has been revised to be taller and with slab sides. It is installed with flush rivets to make weather stripping the eventual canopy easier.

I've also built the F9 bulkhead, now very much revised. And I've installed the upper stringers from F7 to F10, which define the revised upper tail cone aeroshell.

The detail shot shows the rear of the F7 bulkhead. I'm using 1.5" square 6061 tubing for rear rollover protection, and pieces of 1/4" thick 6061 angle aluminum as rear mounting brackets.

These changes will mean that the rear passenger can use the rear fuselage and the canopy lip as grab points during ingress and egress. The front seat will be less obstructive as well, and the pilot can use the windscreen as a grab point. Lastly, F7 and the windscreen will be rollover protection structures, providing two points of support instead of one.
