This has been done over the course of the last three days. I got the last of the rear seat ribs made, got the front ribs installed, and got the bottom fuselage skin installed. I still need to rivet the front ribs to the skin, then attach the rear ribs an repeat. I also need to get yet more AN bolts shipped to me, as somehow there's always more needed than listed.
I just broke down and ordered a pile of AN3s. Clearly I'm going to keep needing more of them than planned for. Might as well embrace the suck and pre-order. I'm taking bets on what the next surprise shortage will be.
My attempt to fly today was terminated abruptly (at run-up, thankfully) by the port brake line rapidly decompressing on the rental Evektor I was in. Yesterday I had a another nice visit from John E., another CX5 builder here in town. And I got my wife's new work laptop all spun up and working correctly. So I'm calling it a night. I'm tired, and something is going to end up going through my finger if I keep working now.
I still need to make it out to John's workshop to see his baby taking shape.
