Brief Description:  Seat Ribs

I was hoping to finish all of the seat ribs this weekend, but only managed to get the front and two of the four rear ribs built. The front ribs have the seatbelt mounts attached, and are match drilled for the forward bulkhead. The rear ribs, not so much.

I'm waiting on some unisually small (3/4" x 3/4" x 1/16" angle aluminum to attach the ribs to the center spar section. That should be arriving in a couple of days, and when it comes in, things pick up. I can install the seat ribs, then install the fuselage bottom skin I had previously match drilled. Then I can flip the fuselage over and get to work on the tail and the cockpit interior.

I'm also waiting on O'Keafe Aero for the main gear, which I need to match drill while the fuselage is upside-down. Unfortunately, they are in New England, and the cold weather prohibts them from using the shop. On a related note, I'm thinking of making the trek out to Sun'n'Fun in Florida, which has a ton of homebuilders and vendors to see. I'm thinking of going becuase there is nothing like that on the left side of the continent. I find this odd. It's as though you pass the Rockies and suddenly, no one knows what a plane is. With Boeing, Lockheed, Scaled Composites, and SpaceX out here, you'd think we'd have a thriiving EAA comunity. In reality, not so much.
