Brief Description:  Firewall attached, fuselage braced

I've got the spacers cut and installed in between the firewall and the frame. Although the plans fail to call them out, I checked the builder's group and found that the bolts attaching the firewall to the frame are AN3-6A, and I have those installed as well. Also, the gussets are now riveted in place.

It's taken time over several days to get this done. I've had so many problems with the flight school I used to be going to. The day before my FAA check ride, I had to cancel. The school couldn't get the Remos' engine to run at or even above idle, so the mechanic reset the idle from 1400-1500 per Operting Handbook up to 2100 RPM to get the engine to keep running. And they seem to think that this is good to go.

I had to go through the airframe and engine logs, and talk to maintenance staff to find out what was and what wasn't done. After that, I started looking for a new school with a different airframe.

This really bit into my build time. Oh, and my employer likes it when I actuallly do work. Hopefully all of this is now behind me, and I can get back to building and flying safely.

Can I just say, I'm really eager to have this aircraft completed?
