Yeah, controlled bending is a lot harder. Actually, it makes me a lot more comfortable, to be able to feel the tensile strength of the angles being used for the longerons. For future reference, however much heat you think it'll take to bend the angle, that's maybe a quarter of the joules required. Keep blowtorching.
