I'm not completely sold on the CX-5's construction methodology for the fuselage fairing blending the canopy into the tail. I've also heard lots of operational issues with side-hinging canopies like the CX-5. Lots of Sonex builders with cracked plexi. Also, I'm bald, so a big plastic dome is basically a UV Scalp Removal System.
I have a revised elevation I'm working on that would give me a fastback fuselage, sliding canopy, and a greenhouse that would make UV shielding much easier. That it would make the plane look a bit like a P-40 is totally accidental.
