Started work on the firewall. After mucking about with attempts to trace the plans and transfer them to the metal, I gave up. Tracing paper stretches, the plans aren't 100% straight, and I think the pen might have been operating under some kind of ancestral curse. Really, it seems like this process is much harder than it needs to be,
Instead I'm scanning the plans, mirroring and straightening them on the computer, and printing them out full scale. Then I can use some temporary mount adhesive to stick the template to the sheet metal, and cut right through the template. Lastly, I will peel the template off of the completed work piece.
