after posting a pic of my new lights on vansairforce, I got several responses suggesting it is dangerous to have the lights exposed to intense paint furmes. Also the lights will act light paint magnets and stay dirty. So I reconfigured them behind a framed soffit covered with plastic. The plastic dimmed the lights just a little, but at still way more light than before.
