Brief Description: Purchased wood and supplies for workbenches
After reading about what others had done for workbenches I decided to modify the standard EAA workbenches a bit. Rather than building a couple of 2' x 5' benches, I decided to build a 4' and an 8' bench, both 32 inches wide as Tim Olson had done. I like having available counter space whenever I work on projects and thus wanted a bigger work surface than the standard 2' x 5' bench initially. When I work on the wings I'll build an additional 8' bench and put the two end to end. I went with MDF board for the surfaces and modified the plans so I had a 2 inch edge all around for clamping.
