After reviewing the builders manual, I found that I neglected to trim the rear spar reinforcement fork and doubler (YIKES!). Not sure what would not work if I let that go until wing hanging. Anyway, trimmed both the W-707D and W-707G as per plans for a RV-7/7A. Just a little concerned with the tolerance allowance here. So I posted on the Houston RV Builders forum about my concern nd received a reply back that basically said that I am ok. I believe I am +-1/32 inch off. I know, I know, that is not that much, but I want it to stay aloft. So, if this is ok, then ok. If not, I want to know before I get too far down the road.
Used hacksaw to trim the spar reinforcement plates
Rear spar reinforcement doubler clamped to table for trimming
Doubler and reinforcement spar clecoed to check for fit before filing deburring
