Brief Description: The "Home Depot Aircraft Supply" Solution
I went to my local Home Depot Aircraft Supply and purchased #8-32 x 3/8 phillips head screws and #8-32 lock nuts to replace 1/2 inch screws which were too long and interfered with each other when put in place. These screws are zinc-plated steel and appear to be a workable solution. So as the pictures show, I have them in place. Good to go.
