Brief Description: Rudder Spar to skin stiffener clearance issue
When I cut the rudder skin stiffeners, I did not take into account the clearance need between the stiffeners and the rudder spar. I had to drill out the first rivet of each stiffener closest to the stiffner. Then using a Dremmel tool and a sanding disc, I removed about 1/16th to 1/8th inch of each stiffener. I had to be careful not to cut the skin beneath the stiffener. Once cut, I checked the spar clearance then deburred each stiffener. Drilled and deburred the stiffener rivets and used OOPS rivets to fill the oversized hole. Problem solved.
