Brief Description:  Tail Cone Skins & Pitch Servo

I can't seem to make time for the log entries. It's been days since I last posted my progress.
As before, I'm having a great deal of trouble estimating how much time I work on the project. In calendar time, it's been almost 6 weeks sine I started.

I completed skinning the tailcone. I installed the static system plumbing, and ran the wires for the pitch trim servo (The RV-12 has electric trim).

I built up the pitch trim assy and tested the servo motor with a portable drill battery.

My big debate now is whether to attach the Vertical and Horizontal tail sections to the tail cone at this time or wait till later in the assembly process. My build space in the basement is limited and I'm worried about banging up the completed tail pieces. I've just about talked myself into waiting.

If I wait to trial fit the tail sections, I'm essentially out of tasks. My wing kit isn't due to ship untill the week of November 9th. That leaves about a month to wait for the wing.

Van's posted new lead times today and RV-12 wing kits are now taking anywhere from 14 to 16 weeks to ship. Hopefully my ship date is still valid. I will call them tomorrow to check it out.
