Brief Description: Riveted Skeleton and Stiffeners
Following the Van's plans and using the recommended rivets I riveted the right elevator spar, root rib and elevator horn togethter. The root rib to spar connection was made by dimpling and using flush rivets where the elevator horn would go over.
I riveted the two reinforcement plates and platenuts to the spar and installed the two rod end bearings and jamnuts.
I strip primed the inside right elevator skin where contact would be made with ribs, spars and stiffeners. After drying, I back-riveted eight stiffeners to the inside of the upper, right elevator skin.
