Brief Description:  Riveted Rudder Assembly

I started by flush riveting the rudder skins to the counterbalance skin and top of the rudder spar where those three parts meet on each side, leaving open the top rivet line that will attach to the tip rib. I used the pnuematic squeezer on the areas that the 3" yoke would reach and the rivet gun, flush set and bucking bar on the remainder. I then put the tip rib in place and, using LP4-3 blind rivets, riveted it to the top of the rudder spar. I clecoed the top rivet line of the skins to the tip rib.
Then using the pnuematic squeezer and 3" yoke, I flush riveted all skin to spar and rib attach points, on both sides, except the bottom rib and attach strips that will be completed when the rudder horn brace is replaced. I did not rivet the two aft-most holes on the skin to tip rib on both side to leave a little flexibility for when I get to the bonding of the trailing edge strip.
