Brief Description:  Accept & Evaluate Project

The project was recieved in "as-is" condition in Oshkosh, WI. Still photographs and video were taken to establish the current "stage" of the projcect, as well as to evaluate parts in need of replacement and fabrication. Any of the few metal fittings installed (right wing only) were removed due to rust. After evaluation, the project was stored for the winter elevated to prevent any water damage. It was decided that the project would be kept in Oshkosh in the storage unit pictured, and the remaining parts fabricated back home in Fairbanks, Alaska over the winters. Each summer, a bunch of folks from work or the local EAA chapter who went to Oshkosh would be recruited for assembly of said parts - I certainly had enough volunteers. I figured this would work OK, since the majority of the airplane's parts are "fit on assembly," and we had electricity at the storage unit. If I took three weeks off each summer, this would work great, wouldn't it? (You can tell this paragraph has been edited since August of '03, right?)
