I worked on the landing gear components while Ralph was busy on other tasks. I put the tires and wheels on the axles and tightened them to where they seemed to need to be and mark the holes. I set them up in the mill vise and drilled them.
I also had to measure and drill all the holes in the wheel fairing mounting brackets that would be going on with the axles. I drilled the locations and then drilled and countersinked the holes for the nutplates.
Ralph and I then got the airplane off the dollies and got the brackets, axles, brake parts, on and torqued and then got the wheels in place with the axle nut.
She is truly standing on her feet for the first time....inching closer to the finish line at the speed of snail!
