Brief Description:  Heater Box Debacle & Fuse Bay

My plan was to install the heater box on the firewall tonight. I was going to drill the holes and hopefully get the box installed. The problem is while developing a plan of attack I realized something wasn't right. The box had a backplate that goes on the interior of the firewall. The problem is there was a firewall structural angle that was smack in the middle of the backplate.

I realized that wasn't going to work......so I reviewed the item in the Spruce catalog and in reading the description the last paragraph stated that an internally controlled heater box needs to be used for the RV8. So it will be a return and reorder for the other heater box.

Once smacked with the realization of my foolish blunder I decided to install a couple of gap fillers I made for the Fuse Bay at the ends of the structure angle. On the rear side I placed a grommet for the forward USB power supply wiring.
