I stuck with the Tailcone Stiffener SL 00014 Service Letter to get it finished off tonight. I started with finishing the parts with the usual file, sanding sponge, and scotch brite processl.
I moved to dimpling the stiffeners and the rivet locations in the fuselage. I was able to use the rivet squeezer for both the dimpling and the riveting on three of the five holes in the fuselage. I had to pull out the old pop rivet dimple set to do the other two.
After getting all that done I shot the stiffeners with primer and hung them in the shop to dry. My wife is using the basement right now as an office for work each day....so I didn't want those fumes to permeate the basement.
Later in the evening I went out and grabbed the dry stiffeners, brought them in and riveted them in their respective locations.
Not a bad little project and worth doing while in the build as opposed to after the build is done. A little diversion from the electrical work.
