Brief Description: Instrument panel and parking brake
I reinstalled the instrument panel frame that I had removed when we were putting the landing gear on. I wanted to see if the view of the parking brake would be obstructed in the location I had selected to put it. Location and visibility seem good.
I had made the bracket for the brake cable and it fit great. As I was testing the fit and surveying the routing of the cable it became immediately evident that the setup would require a support bracket in the front end of the cable. I found this out while routing the cable and saw that the front of the cable handle assembly needed to be supported to remove stress on the handle assembly. So I quickly sketched up and cut a rough blank for the front support bracket.
The cable was far too long for the purpose so I made a rough cut to get rid of some of the cable that was making it more difficult to handle in the confined space.
