Brief Description:  Vent and Fuel Lines

I started the session by getting the mounts for the fuel pump and filter final installed and rivited into the fuselage. I am trying to work in a process that I won't install something that willl give me trouble working around while trying to install something else.....I have done that enough times!

Next I installed all the fittings and lines for the fuel vents. These are all located in the dreaded
"gear towers" which have limited access and require working through the lightening holes. Some folks cut a section of one web out of the towers and make a large panel....I really didn't feel comfortale about that so I didn't do it. It no doubt took me longer as I had several fittings and an adel clamp to install but I completed the painstaking process and torqued everything and placed torque seal on them.

I decided to modify my fuel line that stretches across the spar center section in order to put an elbow where it exits out of the right side of the fuse. It was a single solid line and I was concerned that it may pose a maintenance problem once the airplane is complete if the line has issues. It is probably remote that a problem may arise....but it would pose a problem so I made the change. I will have to double check that it doesn't interfere with my mid cabin box...if it does I may have to remake the line.....we will see.
