Since the side panel was pretty much contoured, slotted the rolled edge reliefs and finished the panel overall. I decided to form the rolled edge on the bottom of the side panel. I spent some time making sure the panel was exactly where I wanted it to be and then using another piece of hardwood and a hammer began forming the roll on the edge. After working little by little and back and forth along the edge, I completed forming a very nice looking edge bead. The edge of the side panel has three sections so I set up and formed the other two sections.
I then drilled the rest of the holes through the skin that attach to the main console angle. I also drilled some attachment holes around the radius of the throttle quadrant. Next I used the countersink to prep all the holes for the screws.
I drilled, countersunk and riveted nutplates to many parts of the console.
There were other items I performed but at the end of the day this is what I remembered....Ha!
A nice long work session and getting closer to completing this console!!!!!
