I began by fabricating a spacer for the side of the quadrant to make the surface even with the angle so when the side of the console is attached it will have a flat surface to be attached. I simply used a piece of poster board and traced the quadrant profile to cut out a pattern then transferred it to the aluminum and cut and finished it.
Next I made the F-864C angle that attaches to the left side skin of the fuselage. I am using a thicker piece of aluminum angle because I am going to attach the quadrant cable bracket that I must off-plan design to hold the cables in position and in place. I am going to cut away a large portion top of the angle wher it is not needed to attach the cable bracket. I just got the cables in from Vans Aircraft on Friday so I can use them to measure the position of where the bracket must be attached to F-864C (the blue line on pic #3 will be the approximate location)
Anyway I was able to drill, countersink, and cleco the F-864C angle in place during this session.
