Brief Description:  Work on Fwd Baggage Rear Bulkhead

Now that all the interior and many parts are painted and ready I can start getting some of them installed. I installed panel F-866BPP which is the rear bulkhead of the forward baggage compartment on the RV8. In an earlier log I described making an access plate in that bulkhead because behind that bulkhead resides much of the avionics and electrical switches/components. I wanted to have the best access I could for maintenance purposes.

So to start I just used clecos to hold it temporarily in the airplane and checked the alignment and fit. After checking it and giving it a thumbs up I removed the panel from the airplane again.

Next I got the 8-32 nutplates and clecoed them to the backplate for the door. Next I began to rivet them to the backplate. Now the backplate is ready to be riveted to the bulkhead.
