Brief Description:  Clean and prep fuse interior for painting #1

So there is a little catch 22 in the current place of the build. I really need to start installing parts into the fuselage but I really need to get it painted. I really don't want to install everything and take out everything. I have already installed many items to set them up, bend lines, etc and removed them because the interior still needs painting. The key is getting the fuselage to the place where enough has been prepped, fitted, drilled, bent, cut, etc etc, in order to keep from getting the paint all scratched up while getting it all put together.

I decided it was time to paint the interior so things could begin to be installed permanantly. I am the third owner of this QB kit. It has lived in El Paso, TX, Shenandoah, VA, and now here at my house since September 2012. The kit was manufactured in Jan 2006. Needless to say that in the 12 years that it has been in existance there has been the "dust of the ages" gathering in the fuse and other parts that needs to be addressed prior to paint. I haven't been looking forward to doing all this cleaning but it is simply another task that needs to be done. I am planning to take my time and really get it cleaned out well.

So after taking a few things sitting in the fuse out, I began giving the fuse a real good vacuuming session. All the drilling has left plenty of chips in the fuse and all the nooks and crannies. So it was vacuum, blow out with air hose, vacuum, blow out with air hose........repeat several times.

Next I started by getting a cloth and hot water and simply began by taking time and trying to get all the collected dust out of the fuse. Didn't quite finish but will in next session.
