The second time you do something alway takes less time....well usually. In this case it did as well. I finished the lines in a reasonable time and wanted to drill the location for the brake line fitting.
Once again I had to use one of my "technical helplines" called Jim. I had the callout on the prints for the hole location, but the print was a little sketchy as to where the one dimension was pulled from due to how it wsa drawn on the print.
Jim has a kit that was manufactured around 2012 or so which means that there were more holes that had been inserted by the factory prior to kit shipment. His hole was thus already located in his fuselage. So Jim went through the pain to measure the position of the hole for me so I could pull the dimension and mark it.
Having got the information, I took a scrap of aluminum and made a template with the hole in the right location placed on the template. I then inserted the template in the gear towers and used the hole in the template to locate and drill a #40 hole at the location of the brake line fitting. I will complete the hole when I install the landing gear to be certain it is in the right location in case it has to be moved a little.
