Brief Description:  Battery Tray, Flap Actuator, Firewall

So I completed finishing the battery tray parts that I made to get a decent finish on them since
I am going to get them anodized. I am probably going to get them done all one color due to
priceing for different colors....so we will see when the time comes.

Next I installed the flap weldment and installed the flap motor/actuator in order to get the position to bolt the upper attachment bracket. It involved a little fitting and hole opening for the hardware but all in all a pretty straight forward task.

My kit was manufactured in 2006, which means that it is a pre-punched kit but there are some holes from my kit are not pre-punched as the more recent kits. My friend Jim in TX happens to have a later kit and I called him to get some dimentions and locations of the holes that he has in his firewall for the heater box and control cables. He upped the anty and offered to cut and send me a section of a firewall that had some "fatal errors" inflicted upon it. Well that was too good an offer to refuse so he sent it and I simply used it as a template to mark the holes....no muss..no fuss....piece of cake! Thanks Jimbo!
