Brief Description:  Firewall & Manual Ail Trim

I located and marked the hole location in the forewall for the brake reservoir. Typically the reservoir is bolted into the firewall using platenuts attached to the angle behind the firewall panel. The problem in the QB kit is that there is no way to really get the nutplates on the firewall since it is already rivited to the angle. So I will drill the hole locations and use a bolt and nylon locking nut. Problem solved.

Next I began to look at the print and instructions for installing the Manual Roll Trim. I decided to go with the manual because it is simple, cost effective, easy to operate, and I think manual trim has a better feel. I was going to use manual trim for my pitch trim until I realized I really needed a servo in order to allow the autopilot to trim the aircraft while "Georgeous George" is doing the flying responsibilities.....so pitch is electric...roll is manual!
