I began finishing a few details on the battery tray. I located the places for the battery tie down bolts. I felt the forward tie down hole needed more than the the battery tray thickness and the angle on top of the tray (a total of a little over 1/8 th inch).
I used a piece of scrap 1/8 th aluminum to add extra support. I will secure a nut plate to the piece of aluminum later because I am pondering getting all the battery mount parts anodiized and you cannot have any steel parts attached during the process..........stay tuned.....
Next I began to get the parts out for the adjustable rudder pedals. Initially I bought the kit from another individual and it had the ground adjustable rudder pedal assembly (that means you must take wrenches on the ground and move the hole location which would take 30 minutes any time you want to adjust them). Flying my friend Ricks RV-8 convinced me that the adjustable pedals that can be adjusted quickly and easily would really be the ticket, so I bought the parts to upgrade. I basically got the parts out and began to review the steps for building them.
