Brief Description:  Battery mount (cont)

Continued working on the battery mount. I had to get between the two flanges on the battery tray to countersink the battery tray where it will be riveted to the side mounting bracket. Once again I must use AN426 rivets because there is no clearance on the outboard battery flange. Using the c'snk microstop in the Sioux angle drill gave me just enough clearance to get the tool in there.

The problem is that the mini-microstop once again caught a little of the radius on the battery tray although not as much as with the support angle. I decided to get a little creative and cut a couple pieces of aluminum that would offer clearance of the radius which was only about .015. So I used about a .025 alum and double sided sticky tape (I really love that stuff!) and placed the pieces straddling the holes and counter sunk them....worked great!

Next I match drilled the left F-877B angle to the battery tray. Now it's upstairs for movie night with my bride!
