After carefully marking the support mount for the outboard battery tray support, I matched drilled the tray to the mounting bracket. First I deburred and finished the battery tray as must be done on all parts.
Next after looking at the side mounting bracket, I was going to trim the piece of angle below the tray but felt that it may be good to place a short piece of angle below the tray just for a little extra support. It probably doesn't need it but I felt it wouldn't hurt. So I fabricate a bracket out of angle and match drilled it with the battery tray. I like it.....so far the project is coming along nicely(of course I am bias in that opinion - ha).
