I continued on and assembled F-839. This one was easy to make....just put the rod ends in the ends....but the problem is that the powder coating had gotten on the starting threads and I had to use a 1/4-28 tap to clear them....fortunately I had one in my tool box.
Next I started on the F-840 control rod. It is half the size of the F-841 and has six holes drilled around the diameter. I cut another piece of paper and folded it in half then in thirds...marked the hole locations on both ends and then proceeded to drill. I set it up in the mill machine then I could put a stop on the end to keep the holes consistant.
