Brief Description:  Fwd baggage compartment skins

I needed a Flight Review and with my schedule it was difficult to connect with an instructor. The airport manager Dave suggested I call Sarah. She is a local airport bum-ette that owns a C-120 and a C-172. I contacted her and found out she lives down the road from my wife and I. So she agreed to get together and perform my Flight Review.

Sarah was very interested in my RV8 build. Sarah has had a bug to build an RV for some time and recently took the plunge and purchased the tail section for what will be an RV-10!!!! She seems to be happier than a gopher in soft dirt! She is setting up a shop....getting tools together, and preparing her BIG hanger at the airport. Sarah is an aviation buff all the way.....and as a newby to the homebuilding arena, she is estatic and nervous all in one!

Anyway, during our conversation in the Flight Review (very enjoyable....and thorough) I invited her over to see the project. Since my travel has cut down I have been back tracking on the build. So she came to see....took some scrap and we riveted using several methods....she had the building gleam in her eyes immediately.

Well we still had to complete the remainder of the ground portion of the FR so we scheduled it for Tuesday. I was prepping the skins for the forward baggage area and asked her if she wanted to assist in the build. Well she did and we completed the fwd baggage skins F-870PP, F-870C, and secured F-870B to the side of the fuselage. Great work session. I should say Sarah really did the work...I simply offered advise and assisted....so the artist signed her artwork upon completing our session!

Sarah really picked up quick on reading the prints and quickly learned the skills of riveting, matchdrilling, cutting and all the other processes of the homebuilding process.....she is going to have one FANTASTIC RV-10.....GO SARAH!
