Brief Description:  Floor Supports

Having started the fuselage I am going paragraph by paragraph in the manual to see what is and is not completed. Having the quickbuild means familiarizing myself with parts that were already built. When you do the slo-build you know the parts on a much more intimate basis having fabricated and installed all of them. It takes some time but I feel like I finally got a pretty good handle on where the project is and picked up on the next item.

The first portion was looking at the floor supports. I found that they seemed to be pretty much installed and the first part I needed to fabricate was F805C for the front seat floor panel. After making the simple piece out of a .063 thick .75 X .75 aluminum angle, I had to position it at the proper distance from the wing spar carry through. The piece rests on two "ears" that fit screws in order to remove that portion of the floor. So I measured marked and used the floor to drill the holes in the angle and "ears" in the correct location.

I find that working in the cockpit area is probably a little harder at my current age than it would have been 20 years ago....sitting and contorting myself doesn't happen as easy as it use to..haha.
