I thought up and designed a fixture that I felt would be simple enough to make and give the ultimate result of having a nice square cut on the bellcrank shaft.
Getting some scrap aluminum around the shop I was able to made the small fixture that fit into the machine vise in the milling machine.
I then set up the bellcrank in the machine and cut about .075 off each end shortening the bellcrank shaft a total of about .150 according to the calculations on the worksheet instructions.
I put the bellcrank assembly together. The remeasurement came out about .012 wider than the calculation....so tomorrow I will pull it apart and shave a little off.
