Removed F-812 Elevator Up stop while I ground the left elevator horn. Next I put the F812 back in the airplane and started measuring and marking. When I felt that I had the F812 marked well I then made a template to measure the angle of the horn. I got that angle and made a quick fixture on the mill to hold F812 elevator stop. I set the fixtue at the proper angle and then milled out the stop to the dimensions I marked. To my amazement I didn't have to re-cut it...the fit was excellent and I got within 1.1 degrees of max up elevator....that gives a little margin of error and will be enough elevator to do whatever I want to do. The horns hit on a flat surface instead of hitting on the courner of a piece if it were milled at a straight 90 degree angle.
