The critical setup on this phase is to get the VS parallel to the fuse. This is done with a straight edge on the back of the VS rear spar and fishing line drawn from the center of the fuse. I used the same location as before on the rear seat bulkhead center rivet. Put the fishing strings on and got it all measured perfectly. Started drilling holes.
I only was able to drill 3 holes. My #30 drills for the rivet holes were too long and I needed some stubby threaded drills. Called my friend Rob....he was enroute to St Louis. He said he will be back Tuesday....I went ahead and ordered some bits as they will be useful...got a busy week anyway so I may just have them before I can work on the project again. Anyway the turtle deck makes it more difficult.
