Brief Description: Left elevator assembe skin to skeleton
I began this session by applying the RTV to the stiffners. CAUTION: Vans instructions kind of leave out the step of placing the RTV on the stiffners prior to assembling the skin to the skeleton. If this step is omitted....there is no way to do it afterward without disassmbling the elevator. I wrote it in RED MARKER in the book step sequence for the left and right elevators to be sure that I put the RTV on the stiffners....mission complete!
Before riveting the skin to the skeleton there is a step that rivets the E713 counterbalance skin to the E701 elevator skin. This works out really good because it allows you to use solid rivets rather than having to use blind rivets.....nice forethought.
Started riveting the remainder of the skin to the skeleton....getting close to finishing the emp!
