Brief Description:  Back to work.....Right Elevator

After weeks of dealing with family and vacation matters I finally got to work on the right elevator again.

It becomes evident during a project such as building an airplane that spans years, that part of the build is having to continue with regular life events as they happen. It seems that a certain part of the aircraft may well represent a life event. Our new grandson was born (premature) after our daughter-in-law had an appendicitis attack. A couple hours after the surgery her water broke and little Aiden was born a few hours after. So we made an unplanned trip to OKC to help out with all the workload(this was all happening as they were moving from one house to another!).

So I suppose when I get to the right elevator during the preflight....it will be more than inspecting a flight control....it will be a reminder of a wonderful event in life that paused my RV-8 building adventure. I wonder what other moments of life events will be represented by other parts of airplane construction.......either way...life, and building an RV both involve adventure and unseen events over the course to completion!

Oh yeah....Rivet E-703 to E-704. Prepared E-610 & E-611PP......uneventfully!
